• The teams have been selected for our 2026 Sweetheart tournament.  We used a random sampler system to try to keep this as fair as possible, while balancing PEI and off-island teams.  The list for each division is provided with some of the waitlist included.  We did not post the full waitlist for all divisions, as it is unlikely that we will go through the full list but we will retain the registrations if needed.  In the interest of transparency, we have recorded the random draw and posted to Youtube.  The links for each division are as follows:

• Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity to take every team but for those who were not selected, you will be kept on the waiting list and contacted if a spot opens up.  We wish everyone all the best in the 2025/26 hockey season.

NRMHA PRESIDENT’S WELCOME

With great pleasure, I would like to welcome all players, coaches, managers, parents, spectators, and officials to our 16th Annual Sweetheart Tournament.  As President of the North River Minor Hockey Association, I am very proud to be part of hosting this hockey tournament. On behalf of our board of directors, I am excited to welcome so many female teams to compete in a weekend of competitive and action-packed hockey.  It makes our association very proud of the work of our volunteers over the past 14 years in building Atlantic Canada’s "Premier Female Hockey Event."  This event also allows our association to showcase female hockey at all levels and to promote the female game within our community, association and province. This tournament will see teams from all over the Maritimes coming together to compete and make new friends while participating in this wonderful game.

It takes an enormous amount of volunteer effort to host such a high quality tournament. The efforts of our Sweetheart Committee are greatly appreciated by all members of our association. I wish all participants, families and spectators an enjoyable tournament and good luck in all of your games over the weekend. We truly appreciate all teams including the Sweetheart Tournament as part of your hockey season. We look forward to hosting you for our 17th Annual Tournament in February 2025.
